Tiktok Media Regulations

Tiktok is an Chinese based app though it is available internationally, owned by Bytedance who through their crusade of horizontal integration have expanded to the world of E-Sports & even Online English lessons  and launched in 2016 it has boomed in popularity garnering 1 billion daily users worldwide, many from our young generations (millenials and below) will see it as a familiar part of their daily lives. The prevalence of the app amongst the young has influenced many of the younger generation to want to get occupations such as "content influencer" or "Tiktok star" which might have been an intentional plot by the Chinese creators. Children in China according to a 60 minute interview would opt for professions such as astronaut which is influenced by Chinese Tiktok regulations that prioritize content showcasing science experients, museum exhibits, and patriotism for younger viewers other than limiting their daily intake to 40 minutes while banning usage between 10PM and 5AM.

The outside world's Tiktok has little to no regulations where the family friendly setting is optional and the content is barely regulated thus it is purely user generated without giving bias to certain contents like in China.
