People Who Got Famous From Internet

The technological convergence of streaming technology and the internet has allowed for the new media of streaming platforms such as Twitch where in the past 3 years people have had the privilege of becoming internet famous while utilizing pseudonyms and masking their faces behind 2D models.

The twitch streamer "Natasha Nyanners" whose real name we have no knowledge of had a sudden shot to stardom in 2019 where within 2 and a half years she has accumulated a million followers on Twitch and 1.5 Million on Youtube. Her career began with her covering songs on Youtube and Twitch using an early version of the pink hair cat avatar while nurturing a growing fan base on social medias such as Twitter where she created a hashtag for fanart and clips of her own videos which also circulated in forum websites like Reddit where people from the anime niche would come to discover her content. Over time Nyanners has released 2 Singles which have been listened to millions of times on Spotify such as "Nyan's Not Hot" a parody of an internet meme,

Traditionally one would gain popularity for one's musical talents by entering auditions organized by record labels and have one's music distributed by the aforementioned labels who have control creative decisions and when the content is released, the internet has given the person behind Natasha Nyanners and others like her the freedom to decide for themselves how the content will look like and how it is promoted/presented.

Often Vtubers would collaborate with each other by making co-streams in order to cross promote or make projects together, Nyanners often collaborate with others such as Snuffy and Veibae where they would partake in activities such as challenges or games.

People like Nyanners for reasons explained by the Theory of Stardom, namely her sudden rise to fame (instant success) where she went from starving college student to earning an estimated $100.000 USD a month from sponsors and twitch donations as she explains in interviews, meanwhile people also love her for her ordinariness where she often shares personal or slice of life stories of herself in her streams while emphasizing her shy personality and clumsiness in her stories which allows many to relate to her.
