Indonesian Agenda Setting & Framing

 

The Indonesian media like others around the world have extensively the conflict in Ukraine, despite covering the same events the way they represent the stories are different.

CNN Indonesia & Kompas highlights the brutality of the war where the articles are titled "Suspected of helping Russia, Ukrainian billionaire is arrested" and "Electricity in Ukraine out due to rudal attack", this way the viewers are shown that the conflict is hot and messy causing casualties and infrastructure damage.  For kompas the articles are titled "Russia accuses the west of escalating the war, the UK denies","Russia needs to sacrifice 20 million more soldiers to beat Ukraine", showing an anti Russian sentiment where they are portrayed as weak/aggresors.


Balipost has not been silent about the Russian attack on Ukraine but refrains from mentioning war crimes or anything of the sort, instead focusing on russian indonesia bilateral relations and G7 warning russia against using nuclear weapons.  This might be due to the high number of Russian expatriates in Bali & Bali's dependence on Russian tourists.

Post Production Editing

 This blog was taken from my teammate Angelo's blog as he was entirely responsible for editing https://angelo-regentsmedia.blogspot.com/2023/03/music-video-post-editing.html Music Video Editing First, before anything I imported the ‘Ghost Town’ Audio into Hitfilm ( My editing software ) I named it appropriately  I lowered down the volume to not make it too loud I started importing files we have on the drive By using the ‘import’ button at the top left corner, I imported the videos to Hitfilm I Edited the videos by cutting them into pieces ( By using the clipping tool )  and finding the best scenes to use for each part, Following the storyboard. I also used jump cuts on appropriate beats to show time leaping forward.  I experimented using the letter box in the music video, But It didn't sit right for me to use it so I removed it.  Done with the first few scenes, I imported the next videos for our next scene.
