WEEK 9 Storyboard Progress (MALE GAZE SUBVERSION WITH DANNY DEVITO)

 The male gaze theory created by Laura Mulvey conveyed that the dominance of men in creative choices as producers, script writers, and directors, because of this camera angles and movements and other choices are made to showcase the female body while presenting them as submissive for the enjoyment of males.

I plan to have Danny DeVito get in suggestive and flamboyant poses as the camera slow-mo and pans into his body in the style of You're So Money Market's famous "strut" advertisement.



This is done to parody shampoo advertisements who do so but with A Class models, but this time it is Danny DeVito who gets such treatment, this goes with the message that Old Spice makes one more confident or attractive

Post Production Editing

 This blog was taken from my teammate Angelo's blog as he was entirely responsible for editing https://angelo-regentsmedia.blogspot.com/2023/03/music-video-post-editing.html Music Video Editing First, before anything I imported the ‘Ghost Town’ Audio into Hitfilm ( My editing software ) I named it appropriately  I lowered down the volume to not make it too loud I started importing files we have on the drive By using the ‘import’ button at the top left corner, I imported the videos to Hitfilm I Edited the videos by cutting them into pieces ( By using the clipping tool )  and finding the best scenes to use for each part, Following the storyboard. I also used jump cuts on appropriate beats to show time leaping forward.  I experimented using the letter box in the music video, But It didn't sit right for me to use it so I removed it.  Done with the first few scenes, I imported the next videos for our next scene.
