Project Progress Week 6

 


I have decided that i will be referencing the show Saturday Night Live in the advertisement, namely the opening scene where John Travolta walks down the urban area, the camera will tilt up revealing Danny Devito's legs , this creates anticipation and suspense as indicated by the Barthes' 5 Narratives theory 

The final choice to casts Danny Devito is done to resonate with the main audience which is of a similar age , the two step theory suggests that a notion a celebrity holds will sway the opinion of viewers thus having Danny Devito saying Old Spice is cool will surely make the viewers have a similar sentiment.

Post Production Editing

 This blog was taken from my teammate Angelo's blog as he was entirely responsible for editing https://angelo-regentsmedia.blogspot.com/2023/03/music-video-post-editing.html Music Video Editing First, before anything I imported the ‘Ghost Town’ Audio into Hitfilm ( My editing software ) I named it appropriately  I lowered down the volume to not make it too loud I started importing files we have on the drive By using the ‘import’ button at the top left corner, I imported the videos to Hitfilm I Edited the videos by cutting them into pieces ( By using the clipping tool )  and finding the best scenes to use for each part, Following the storyboard. I also used jump cuts on appropriate beats to show time leaping forward.  I experimented using the letter box in the music video, But It didn't sit right for me to use it so I removed it.  Done with the first few scenes, I imported the next videos for our next scene.
